The objective of this project is to accomplish two important goals:
1. Demonstrate the interdisciplinary nature of science, policy and education as students engage in a project that has real application to local problems and
2. Engage and empower the local community in a long-term project that incorporates public school students working with faculty and college students to provide an educational outreach program to help create awareness and generate solutions to local environmental problems.
